Relevant qualifications include:

  • NEG Level 2 moto marshal
  • Current ‘First Aider’ certificate
  • Full clean UK current driving licence, Advanced driver since 1994
  • Cytech 2 cycle mechanic
  • Certificate in food hygiene
  • Various certifications in coaching and personal development – contact me for specific details

Practical skills and experience include:

  • route planning (using both real maps and GPS!), signage
  • incident management and problem-solving
  • communicating well with clients, team members, other road users and the general public
  • customer care and marketing – both from a commercial marketing / PR level and face-to-face with customers
  • working travel knowledge of French, German, Spanish (Italian pending – I studied GCSE Latin)
  • project planning and budgeting. I’m a trained accountant familiar with project management
  • broad experience facilitating corporate team, leadership and personal development, executive coaching and experiential learning
  • worked on closed-road events (Etape Caledonia, Etape Cymru, 2012 Olympic Road Race, London Triathlon 2012, ITU World final triathlon 2013, Youth World Series Triathlon 2013, Run to the Beat 2012); many sportives; Cycletta and DIVA female-only events; charity cycle events and open road races (to National level)
  • toured widely in Europe by motorcycle
  • completed / assisted on multi-day expeditions such as Duke of Edinburgh Gold, 3 peaks trial,  ‘at risk’ youth in Scotland
